Privacy, in plain English

Duckout is run by Eric in Brisbane. Email support@duckout.com.au if you want to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw the form tickbox.

What the tester form collects

It collects your name, email, mobile, trade, whereabouts, whether you ticked the keep-me-posted box, any channel tag in the link you followed, and whether the spam check ran.

It also makes a keyed hash of your connection address to limit repeat submissions. It is a keyed hash, not the address itself, and it is cleared after 24 hours.

Why I collect it

I use those details so I can ring you about testing Duckout, and nothing else. I won't send marketing. If you tick the box, I may only let you know when Duckout opens up.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the form as a third party and receives browser and connection signals under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. If an ad-blocker stops that check, it does not stop the form.

The details are also sent to Eric as a private Slack message so he can ring you back. Slack's servers are outside Australia.

How long it stays

Your form details are deleted after 90 days unless you ticked the box or become a tester. The connection-address hash is cleared after 24 hours. The tickbox is the only thing that keeps an unsuccessful application longer; email support@duckout.com.au at any time to withdraw it and ask for deletion.

About test-drive calls

The front page explains why test-drive calls are recorded, in the same words you see before applying.
